Using Canadian Shield rock inside your home will help your decor blend with what you see outside.

Since the dawn of time, humans have been using rock for the construction of everything from the first wheel, the first spear tip, to the world’s greatest marvels – the Great Pyramids in Egypt, the Great Wall of China and India’s Taj Mahal, to name just a few.
And when it comes to rock, the granite found on the Canadian Shield is among the densest natural stone on Earth, with low water absorption and high resistance to temperature changes, making it an ideal building material.
As such, it has held its appeal over the ages and continues to be the first choice for many homeowners when it comes to patios, fireplace surrounds and outdoor walkways.
Today, people are using rock – especially granite – indoors, where, thanks to its durability and beauty, it looks wonderfully at home in living rooms, kitchens and bathrooms.
“Many people feel a strong emotional connection to their Muskoka property,” notes Seth Rudin, president of the Muskoka Rock Company. “Our product is naturally finding its place in homes, cottages and offices throughout North America.”
Muskoka Rock has the ability to create innovative products, offering a variety of applications for multiple uses. One of their most recent “creations” is a 7-inch-high basin carved out of solid rock.
“If you can dream it, we can create it,” Rudin says.
